About the Portraits of Haiti Series
I spent over three years in Haiti working for Partners in Development (PID), an organization that serves the poorest of the poor through child sponsorship, micro loans, housing, and medical care. During this time, I lived among the people and I was inspired by their stories. Each portrait represents a story of strength and resilience, a story of survival and hope. The people in the portraits are real people whose lives have been changed by the work of PID. Many of the paintings below were sold to benefit PID. For more information about PID, visit www.pidonline.org.
